We're looking for a Senior CIAM Engineer to provide technical leadership across our customer identity platforms, with a strong focus on Auth0 (target platform) and Okta (legacy/transition platform). This is a hands-on senior engineering role for someone who can confidently lead technical conversations, solve complex identity challenges, and drive secure, scalable authentication experiences for millions of customers. What You'll Do <ul> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Lead the design, configuration and operation of Auth0 and Okta platforms </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Own customer authentication, registration, MFA, identity federation and token management solutions </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Drive platform standards, reusable identity patterns and engineering best practices</li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Lead L3 production support and major incident resolution across CIAM platforms </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Introduce modern authentication capabilities like Passkeys, social login, risk-based authentication </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Support Medibank's migration from Okta to Auth0, including onboarding new brands and customer cohorts </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Partner with product, security, architecture and delivery teams to balance security, customer experience and delivery outcomes </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the CIAM capability </li> </ul> What You'll Bring <ul> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">8+ years' experience working with CIAM platforms </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Strong experience with Auth0 and/or Okta. Other platforms (e.g Ping Ping Identity, ForgeRock) welcome too.</li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Proven ability to lead technical discussions and influence solution design </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Experience with MFA, passwordless authentication, FIDO2/WebAuthn and adaptive authentication </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Strong production support experience, including L3 incident management and root cause analysis </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Node.js, APIs and distributed systems </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Strong understanding of identity security, OWASP principles, token security and fraud prevention controls </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Experience working within regulated or security-conscious environments </li> </ul> Nice to Have <ul> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Multi-brand or multi-tenant CIAM experience </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Experience with passkeys, social login and risk-based authentication </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">AWS experience (CloudFront, WAF, Lambda) </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Exposure to Splunk, Datadog or ELK </li> <li style="font-family:helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Insurance, healthcare or financial services experience </li> </ul> Imagine working with us We understand that work means different things to everyone...
