Please note that this is a contract position until Mid-December. There is a possibility of extension (depending on business needs and your performance). Your main responsibilities are: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">General laboratory support including: washing glassware, archiving samples, weighing, homogenizing, etc.;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Perform simple sample preparation and manipulation procedures prior to analyses;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Ensure that cross contamination between samples and other materials does not occur;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Use summary reports to plan and organize work;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Ensure that deadlines are met;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure accuracy and quality of work;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Other related tasks.</li> </ul> You are an ideal candidate if you: <ul type="disc"> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Have a diploma in science;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Have at least academic experience in a laboratory setting;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Have good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills;</li> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Are dynamic, energetic, motivated and have a positive outlook.</li> </ul> Work conditions: <ul> <li style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black"> Work schedule: day, evening and weekend. You need to be available for different shifts. </li> <li style="margin-top:0.0px;margin-bottom:0.0px;vertical-align:middle;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black"> You need to be available for overtime during the peak season (1-2h/day) from May to December including a 6th day during the week; </li> <li style="margin-top:0.0px;margin-bottom:0.0px;vertical-align:middle;font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12.0pt;color:black"> Please note that flexibility for overtime is required to meet business needs. It's important to note that overtime is not optional in this role.
