This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer who enjoys working on a variety of industrial equipment, both within our workshop facilities and occasionally on customer sites across the UK.</p> <p>As part of our engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing critical wastewater equipment for major UK Water Utility companies, helping to ensure essential infrastructure continues to operate efficiently. </p> <h2>About the Role</h2> <p>The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, fault finding, repairing, and rebuilding a range of industrial and wastewater treatment equipment. This role offers a mixture of workshop-based activities and occasional field-based work, providing excellent variety and development opportunities.</p> <h3>Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul> <li>Repair and maintain mechanical and industrial equipment. </li> <li>Strip, inspect, rebuild, and refurbish machinery, pumps, and heavy industrial equipment. </li> <li>Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities. </li> <li>Diagnose faults and undertake repairs down to component level.</li> <li>Conduct site inspections and prepare survey reports where required.</li> <li>Work safely and effectively both in the workshop and on customer sites.</li> <li>Access and interpret technical instructions using electronic devices. </li> <li>Collaborate with colleagues and other trades to deliver high-quality work and customer service. </li> </ul> <h2>What We&apos;re Looking For</h2> <h3>Essential</h3> <ul> <li>Recognised mechanical apprenticeship. </li> <li>City &amp; Guilds qualification or equivalent.</li> <li>Experience maintaining and repairing industrial mechanical equipment.</li> <li>Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. </li> <li>Knowledge of industrial mechanical installation and maintenance. </li> <li>Good understanding of Health &amp; Safety requirements. </li> <li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills.</li> <li>Full UK driving licence. </li> </ul> <h3>Desirable</h3> <ul> <li>Water industry or environmental engineering experience.</li> <li>Welding and fabrication experience (MMA essential, TIG desirable). </li> <li>Confined Space certification. </li> <li>Banksman/Slinger/Crane Supervisor qualifications.</li> <li>Manual Handling qualification. </li> <li>HGV licence. </li> </ul> <h2>What&apos;s in it for You?</h2> <p>We believe in rewarding our employees and supporting their wellbeing and career development.
