<p>The SZC Jobs Service supports local people into exciting, long-term careers across our Project. #SZCJobs</p><p> </p> <p> </p> <p style="text-align:center"><strong>Quality Engineer (2 Year FTC)</strong><br><strong>VSL UK</strong><br><strong>Sizewell C </strong></p> <p><br><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></p> <p><br><strong>Quality Systems & Compliance </strong></p> <p><br>-Identify and implement measures, controls, and procedures to ensure quality standards are met<br>- Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan and associated documentation systems<br>- Establish inspection & test plans (ITPs), quality records, and work procedures for geotechnical and piling activities<br>- Ensure effective document control and traceability of all quality documentation<br>- Study and interpret legal, contractual, technical, and regulatory requirements applicable to the works<br>- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and internal procedures</p> <p><br><strong>Site & Operational Support </strong></p> <p><br>- Advise operations managers on quality risks and compliance obligations<br>- Review and approve method statements; verify correct implementation on site<br>- Monitor QC activities performed by site engineers and supervisors<br>- Conduct direct inspections and testing where necessary to verify compliance<br>- Provide ongoing guidance to engineers, supervisors, and site teams on quality expectations</p> <p><br><strong>Defects & Reporting </strong></p> <p><br>- Monitor construction progress from a quality perspective<br>- Identify non-conformances and lead corrective and preventive actions<br>- Prepare and submit regular QC status reports to project management and client representatives</p> <p><br><strong>Education</strong></p> <p><br>- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (preferred)</p> <p><br><strong>Experience</strong></p> <p><br>- 3-5 years of experience ideally in heavy civil construction, with geotechnical works<br>- Experience managing quality systems on infrastructure or major projects</p> <p> </p> <p> </p><p> </p> <p>For this role you must have evidence of right to work in the UK.
