About this role

We are looking for a Medical Advisor Neurology to join our Medical team and serve as the scientific and medical voice for our neurology portfolio — with a particular focus on Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders. This is a high-impact role that blends scientific expertise with hands-on project management, cross-functional collaboration, and meaningful external engagement.

What You'll Do

Patient Support Program Management

Lead the end-to-end management of a patient support program, with accountability for both internal and external project managementManage external relationships and ensure delivery against program milestones and quality standardsCoordinate with internal stakeholders across Legal, Data Security, Finance, Compliance, and Commercial to align on program governance and executionDrive cross-functional project plans, ensuring timely delivery, risk mitigation, and clear communication across workstreamsCross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as the medical voice within Brand Teams, contributing to strategy and key initiativesPartner with colleagues across functions to identify opportunities and deliver on objectivesOversee the review and approval of promotional, educational, and patient-facing materialsSupport internal medical training for AbbVie staffScientific & Clinical Programs

Co-manage national clinical education programs and ensure validity of scientific contentBuild and oversee local clinical/scientific programs in line with Brand Team and corporate requirementsMonitor competitor intelligence and the evolving scientific landscape in Parkinson's and Movement DisordersMedical Strategy & External Engagement

Shape and execute the medical strategy for the neurology portfolio as defined in the Brand and Medical PlansBuild credible, long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, External Experts, and academic centresRepresent AbbVie at scientific congresses, advisory boards, and symposiaIdentify opportunities for collaborative medical/scientific programs with clinical groups Skills

Strong project management skills — able to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously across diverse stakeholder groupsExcellent communicator — comfortable translating scientific data for both expert and non-expert audiencesSkilled at building and maintaining senior-level relationships internally and externallyAble to operate effectively in a matrixed organisation and navigate commercial, legal, and compliance environmentsExperience

Minimum 2 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent clinical/scientific backgroundDemonstrated experience in project management, ideally including patient programs, clinical education, medical affairs or cross-functional initiativesExperience working in a matrix organizationEducation & Background
