Requirements
• Ability to set up and operate single hit and progressive dies.
• Ability to troubleshoot progressive dies and make adjustments when needed.
• Familiar with Wintriss SmartPac Controls is a plus.
• Ability to use standard measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gage etc.
• Ability to read blueprints, use part fixtures for dimensional specifications, and/or part gages
• In-depth knowledge of the processes, equipment used for metal stamping as well as being comfortable in the metal stamping environment.
Job Description
• Perform typical progressive die set ups, tear downs, and press operations.
• Observe press in operation and make adjustments to control rate of production.
• Monitor tooling, press, and coil equipment during production to ensure it is working properly, i.e. watching gages, dials, etc.
• Regular quality inspections during production runs to ensure making good parts
• Communicate clearly and concisely with the supervisor, other production personnel or quality personnel when a problem arises.
• Maintain an accurate count of parts
• Extended periods of standing while operating press and running production
• Follow all prescribed safety regulations, i.e.. PPE (safety glasses / hearing protection) etc.
