About this role
The EMS Communications Specialist shall perform all tasks necessary to ensure timely scheduling and transportation including answering phones, screening transport requests, recording all required information, verifying insurance information and making sure that pre-authorizations are being obtained as needed, ensuring timely patient transports to and from facilities, and patients’ homes via ambulance and wheelchair van. In the course of the dispatcher work, the ideal candidate must be able to interact with all levels of the organization of Augusta Health in a professional and concise manner.
