Job Description Overview / Summary Detail-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with experience in Women’s Health, specializing in minimally invasive gynecology and urogynecology. Skilled in patient preparation, Epic documentation, clinical procedures, and care coordination within a fast-paced outpatient setting. Committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, infection control, and clinical excellence.
Responsibilities
• Deliver professional nursing care within LPN scope in compliance with Mercy policies and state/federal regulations • Prepare patients for Women’s Health visits using Mercy Advanced Standard rooming process, including but not limited to vitals, history review, medication reconciliation, and care gap closure • Assist physicians during minimally invasive gynecology, urogynecology, and integrative gynecology visits and procedures • Perform specialty clinical procedures such as urodynamics testing, catheter placement, trial of void, and post-void residual assessments • Conduct in-office procedures including bladder scans, and point-of-care testing • Administer injections • Provide patient education, including intermittent self-catheterization training • Maintain patient safety through infection control practices and adherence to universal precautions • Per physician protocol, schedule surgical cases through hospital Epic Marketplace • Communicate with patients regarding surgical procedures, pre- and post-op care, following provider guidance • Coordinated patient care plans collaboratively with providers and interdisciplinary team members • Ensured accurate and timely documentation in Epic, including ICD-10 and CPT coding • Managed medical supplies, medication storage, and equipment sterilization per clinical standards • Supported front desk operations, including patient check-in/check-out and appointment scheduling • Responded to urgent clinical situations within the office setting • Maintained compliance with professional standards, dress code, and ongoing education requirements
