About this role
The Senior Product Development Engineer SME is responsible for leading the design and development of inside plant (ISP) fiber optic connectivity and cable management products from concept through industrialization. This role applies advanced mechanical engineering, 3D modeling, and analysis techniques to create high-quality, manufacturable solutions while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The position serves as a technical subject matter expert, driving design verification, testing, DFx practices, and continuous improvement initiatives to advance AFL’s fiber optic product portfolio and support customer and business needs.
