General Expectations and Responsibilities
• Follow ADF safety procedures and practices.
• Proficiently read and interpret blueprints as needed.
• Proficient in reading welding symbols.
• Weld in the flat (1G), horizontal (2G), and vertical (3G) positions.
• Safely and efficiently operate hand and power tools.
• Proficient in the use and set up of oxyfuel and plasma cutters.
• Knowledge of heat distortion and prevention.
• Utilize Carbon Arc Cutting/Gouging processes to remove material.
• Understand types of welding discontinuities, prevention, and repair.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to operate on strict deadlines.
• Clean and properly store tools and equipment at the end of shift.
• Strong communication skills.
• Any other related duties and special projects as needed.
