About this role

About the Role We are looking for a motivated Senior Business Development Executive to join our team at RHB Insurance Berhad in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. In this role, you’ll support business growth and profitability through effective management of agency, RHB Group, and direct business portfolios. You will also play a key role in expanding market share, strengthening agency networks, and driving strategic marketing initiatives to achieve business targets.

What you will be doing

• Support the Branch Manager in formulating and implementing marketing strategies to maximize business potential through the Agency channel.

• Manage and grow agency, RHB Group, and direct business portfolios to improve productivity and profitability.

• Collaborate with underwriters on the acceptance of new risks within the approved authority limits set by Head Office.

• Drive Agency Recruitment Programmes to strengthen and expand the agency force.

• Organize relationship enhancement activities to maintain strong engagement with agents and business partners.

• Conduct agency portfolio segmentation and identify opportunities for business growth.

• Review and monitor product portfolios to ensure competitiveness and market relevance.

• Identify market opportunities and develop structured marketing strategies to expand market share.

• Coordinate surveys and risk management programmes for Banca Retail clients.

• Monitor compliance with Credit Control policies, regulatory requirements, and Company guidelines.

• Ensure all business activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory guidelines and Company policies.

What we’re looking for

• A degree or professional qualification from an institution recognized by the Government of Malaysia.

• Candidates with knowledge and/or experience in the insurance industry are encouraged to apply.

• Strong analytical skills with good knowledge of insurance products and market practices.

• Proven ability to achieve profitability and sales targets.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Good contact network and relationship-building capabilities.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Fresh graduates with strong interest in business development and the insurance industry are welcome to apply.
