About this role

The Manager, Patient Services Strategy, Gastroenterology plays an important role in the development of our patient support strategies. This position directly interacts with brand partners ensuring both patient and provider needs are met. The position is a critical linkage point between the US Commercial Brand Team and the US Patient Services for Skyrizi & RINVOQ Gastroenterology. This role is responsible for overall Skyrizi & Rinvoq Gastroenterology Patient Support Program performance and accountability, including program strategy, design, brand alignment, execution, and performance. This person will be responsible for supporting program enhancements, program launches, partnering with Sales and Marketing, Legal/Compliance, and additional stakeholders to create exceptional patient treatment plan experiences.

Major Responsibilities:

Understands the overall Patient Support Program (PSP) vision and strategy, helps define, document, and communicate the visionHelps drive modeling and identify analytic needs with the Director, collecting key data points to validate program performanceSupports development of Care Model development for new indication launchesUnderstands and can navigate PSP components to help troubleshoot issues and maximize overall program performanceOperates in the finer details, executing on projects leading up to larger program initiativesSupport leadership creation of PSP strategic & tactical planning by providing strategic lensEstablish and maintain appropriate relationships with commercial business partners in sales, managed healthcare, trade and marketing teamsBuilds awareness of PSP offerings throughout brand teams by socializing content with brand team members (managers, ADs)Provides AbbVie Patient Services (APS) input to Brand marketing executions, identifying and resolving incongruencies, and synergizing messagingFacilitates discussion of operational opportunities & efficiencies between APS teams and brandsUnderstands business and compliance guardrails and asks appropriate questions to drive business forwardWorks to identify customer, access, and program industry trends to enhance current patient support programsSignificant Work Activities

Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day) Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred5+ years of marketing experience in pharmaceutical / biotech or healthcare services; brand, digital, and patient service marketing experience strongly preferredDeep commitment to supporting patients and improving their treatment experienceStrong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, influence, and execute in a fast-paced, matrix environmentUnderstand the fundamentals of brand positioning, campaign management, and marketing budget management.Strong background in customer and/or patient engagement, service, and retention strategies.Proficient planning and organization skills, attention to detail, execution, and follow-through.Experience and ability to manage and lead various external partnerships and maintain their budgets, including agencies and vendors, is a must.Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to simplify complex information and tailor messaging to different audiences.Demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement pathways, affordability programs (Copay, bridge, PAP), and patient support operations highly preferredExperience in agile ways of working is a bonus. The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. ​

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs. ​
