Mechanic III at City of Irving. Location: Irving, Texas, United States. Role: inspecting vehicles, repairing vehicles, overhauling engines Requirements: Performs mechanical repair and maintenance on city vehicles and heavy equipment; inspects, diagnoses, orders parts, writes estimates/work orders, conducts state inspections, and rebuilds/overhauls engines. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, vocational training, 3 years relevant experience, and a valid Texas driver credential. Must obtain specified ASE, CDL, EPA/Refrigerant, inspector, and forklift credentials within required timeframes.
