Job SummaryYou will serve as a SHIPWRIGHT LEADER (EXPERT) in the DEPARTMENT OF NAVY to include work site of Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.

Major DutiesYou will serve as an expert on installing, maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of scaffolding, shoring systems and components.You will exercise leadership skills to mentor trade employees in a wide range of work activities such as use of blueprints, specifications, and sketches to manufacture cradles and complex systems scaffolding builds.You will perform research to continually improve trade processes and keep shop personnel apprised of new technologies and procedures associated with shipwright work.You will identify cumbersome work practices and deficiencies, improve trade processes, inspect work, and implement corrective actions.
