Job SummaryYou will serve as a PAINTER LEADER (EXPERT) in the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NAVAL SHIPYARD & IMF within the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Major DutiesYou will perform abrasive blast on the exterior and interior of ships and submarines above and below ground level from various heights.You will perform just-in-time diagnostic and troubleshooting to prevent loss of product.You will ensure other workers follow instructions received from supervisors to meet deadlines.You will assure safety and housekeeping rules are followed (for example, assuring that limits of safe machine operation are not exceeded and that all tools are used properly).You will ensure that needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations.
