Job Summary Plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates a variety of recreation programs and services to meet participant needs for social, physical, and cognitive functioning.
Essential Functions
• All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.
• Performs appropriate initial recreational therapy assessments and re-assessments upon referral from Interdisciplinary Team. Communicates participant changes to team members.
• Develops specific therapeutic programs as part of the plan of care to include recreational and social activities.
• Documents accordingly in the participant's medical record.
• Develops, implements and supervises the activity program.
• Serves as a resource to staff and coordinates volunteer activities at the center.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibility
• This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
• Education - Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field of study.
• Experience - One (1) year of experience in an environment with a frail or elderly population

• Knowledge of office equipment
• Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets)
• Recreational therapy activity skills
• Working knowledge of recreational therapy equipment
