ROLE SUMMARY Lead the EM commercial strategy and execution for the Vyndaqel and Inflammation & Immunology (I&I) portfolio — a high-value Specialty Care franchise with strong growth potential across Emerging Markets, led by Vyndaqel. This role calls for bold strategic focus, disciplined execution, and empowered leadership to realize the portfolio’s full value.
• This is a critical role in Specialty Care & Internal Medicine as the brands custodian in EMCO to ensure that our marketing plans and execution drive growth, competitive advantage, successful LOE strategies,and greater access for Emerging Markets (EM) patients to our medicines.
• Acting as the regional expert for the Vyndaqel and I&I portfolio, the BML will be the EM content catalyst, providing relevant, adapted brand and customer-specific content by collaborating with ICO, Global and Local teams.
• Represent the Emerging Markets (EM) region at global level, acting as Point of Contact for the Global Team and as a member of Global brand teams, to represent EM needs and ensure pull-through of Global brand strategy.
• Support shaping and execution of global brand strategy across EM through development of outstanding brand plans, brand/customer metrics of performance, and customer content.
• Be accountable for respective brands performance across EM and associated metrics.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the EMCO regional expert for the Vyndaqel and I&I portfolio and represent the EM region at global level:
• Shape and cascade global strategy and content, act as the point of contact for global / ICO brand teams, represent EM with global brand teams, and provide EM insight/needs to global strategy and content creation.
• Lead regional brand teams with countries, relevant enabling functions and ICO .
• Connect with local teams and customers, collecting insights and understanding country needs to ensure outstanding marketing planning and execution.
• Craft compelling executive narratives that distil complex information into clear and impactful messages.
• Drive impactful above-market initiatives, such as medical education programs, disease-awareness and diagnosis strategies, partnering cross-functionally (Medical, Access, Regulatory) to unlock growth opportunities.
Act as a point of contact and sounding board for country LT and teams (e.g., RTALs, CBLs, CBMs) to:
• Ensure RTALs and country teams are updated on global strategy and initiatives.
• Guide content adaptation/creation and the customer journey creation process with Customer Content Managers.
• Provide mid-term and long-term outlook of the brand portfolio and develop Growth / Efficiency / Double Click plans to inform LRF and timely strategic investment decisions.
• Provide competitive intelligence insight to inform the strategic planning process.
• Support the coordination of key deliverables such as Brand Execution Plan, financial LE/OP and monthly performance processes, and provide a holistic EM view by tracking financial and non-financial KPIs.
• Ensure disciplined management of portfolio DME/OPEX within annual allocations.
• Optimize brand impact by identifying and scaling best practices, and provide simplified patient/forecast models for cluster markets.
• Lead the execution of high-impact regional initiatives, focusing on the critical KNOTs that drive disproportionate value, while ensuring an inclusive approach that enables engagement and contribution across all EM markets.
• Ensure all activities follow Pfizer governance, quality standards, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications (Secondment)
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and business impact.
• BA/BS degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; MBA is preferred.
• Demonstrated successful track record in managing x-functional teams and matrix.
• extensive and multiple years of Marketing experience.
• Broad knowledge and experience of the relevant healthcare and pharmaceutical environment
• Commercial/portfolio management experience, including understanding of revenues/operating expenses (P&L), asset allocation, value and cost-driver decisions.
• Exceptional ability to manage varying priorities and stakeholders.
• Senior-level executive presence and emotional intelligence, with a track record of influencing beyond direct areas of accountability.
Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel or Environment Requirements
Will need to demonstrate flexibility to work to EM / Global time zones as necessary, with travel across the EM region as required.
