About the Role The Security Monitor (SM) plays a critical role in maintaining the security posture of restricted and controlled areas, ensuring the safety of personnel and infrastructure. Reporting to the Security Monitor Supervisor, the SM provides line-of-sight monitoring of uncleared personnel and ensures compliance with site security protocols.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor uncleared personnel to prevent unauthorized access or removal of sensitive materials. • Enforce site regulations and communicate security procedures professionally. • Operate handheld radio systems for effective communication. • Respond to emergency events and maintain control of personnel. • Complete incident and infraction reports accurately. • Support other operational areas (e.g., custodial, food services, trades) as needed. • Promote and maintain health and safety compliance.
Qualifications
Essential:
• Completion of Year 12 • Valid Driver’s Licence (manual transmission) • White Card (Construction Induction) • Minimum 1 year of work experience • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Ability to work in extreme weather and physically demanding conditions
Desirable:
• Previous security experience • Experience with handheld radio communications • Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform tickets
Security Clearance Requirement Applicants must be eligible to obtain and retain a minimum of NV1 (Australian) or SECRET (U.S.) Department of Defence Security Clearance.

• Must be at least 18 years of age • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) • Commitment to EHS and Quality standards • Willingness to comply with all site procedures and policies
