Position Summary This position assists physicians in providing patient care in the office and serves as a resource for chemotherapy nurses and other staff who identify patients in need of urgent care. Work is performed under the general direction of the Physician. Responsibilities

• Assess and examine patients • Order and interpret diagnostic lab and radiology results • Communicate and consult with physicians regarding patient care • Plan and order treatments • Dictate notes for office visits and patient letters • Evaluate patient concerns relayed via phone nurse or chemotherapy nurse • Order and interpret lab work for employee safety monitoring • Provide continuity of care when a physician is out of the office • Coordinate with Medical Records, Front Desk, Physicians, and Nurses on patient charts, appointments, and treatment • Write history, physical exams, and orders for hospital admission • Interface with area hospitals to report patient condition • Communicate effectively to support a collaborative work environment Qualifications Preferred: Oncology experience Nurse Practitioner

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school, with successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program • RN state licensure and current registration with the Arizona State Board of Nursing • Current Arizona state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant

• Master's degree from an accredited PA program • Current NCCPA certification • Current licensure to practice in Arizona
