Role Interested in gaining hands-on experience in a growing team conducting state-of-the-art quantitative research? At Northern Trust Asset Management (NTAM) we manage over $1 trillion in client assets, including a sizable portion in our Quantitative Strategies group. In this group, we are looking for ambitious Master’s students with strong drive, ambition, and a technical or commercial background to join us for up to six months and contribute to cutting-edge quantitative research. You will work with the smartest minds in the market and be part of sizable quantitative team that helps you gain experience with both research and investing. If you are passionate about applying your technical skills to solve real-world problems and can navigate the balance between analytical work, investing, and clear communication, we encourage you to apply! We are looking for ambitious Master’s or Ph.D. students who like to work up to six months full-time on a research project related to quant and/or sustainability. You will work closely with our experienced quantitative researchers, portfolio managers and/or Sustainability experts. The internship topics will be closely related to the following research areas:

Skills/ Qualifications
• Current Master’s or Ph.D. student with financial, technical or commercial background, including Quantitative Finance, Econometrics, Finance, Marketing, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or other related disciplines. • Passion for investing • High degree of self-motivation and an autonomous work style • Programming skills in Python • Strong communication and presentation skills • This position is open for students who are entitled or have a permit to do an internship in the Netherlands.
