About the role
MSS Security is seeking a Part-Time Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at Ballina Airport. As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff and airport operations.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Conduct security screening of passengers, staff, and visitors • Operate screening equipment and security technology, including X-ray machines, metal detectors, and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) systems. • Perform passenger, staff, visitor, and baggage screening to identify prohibited items, dangerous goods, and security threats. • Monitor and patrol airport facilities, reporting and responding to security incidents, breaches, and potential risks.
Requirements:
• Full Australian working rights. • Strong communication and customer service skills . • Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing). • 24/7 availability required.
