About the role MSS Security is seeking a Casual Aviation Protection Officer to join our team at Hervey Bay Airport. As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff and airport operations.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Conduct security screening for passengers, staff and visitors • Operate security screening equipment, including metal detectors, X-ray machines and ETD equipment, to detect prohibited items and potential security risks. • Screen passengers, staff, visitors and baggage in line with security procedures and airport requirements. • Monitor and patrol airport premises to identify and report any security threats or breaches.
Requirements:
• Full Australian working rights • Ability to undergo and pass a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) • Strong customer service skills with excellent verbal and written communication • Proficient in basic computer skills • Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 12 hours • 24/7 availability required
