• Level 2 pay + superannuation + Applicable shift loading penalties + $45 weekly reliever allowance
• Stable Monday to Friday roster – 9:00am to 5:00pm

About the Role We are seeking professional and adaptable Relief Security Officers to join our supportive team working across multiple government sites throughout Wollongong, including Federal Court and government sites. This unique relief role offers exposure to a variety of operational environments, providing valuable hands-on experience across different security functions and site requirements. You will receive ongoing training and development while building a diverse skill set within a stable and long-term position. With a consistent Monday to Friday roster, this role offers excellent work-life balance while still providing opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and control access for staff, contractors, and visitors
• Conduct security patrols and site inspections
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations
• Operate CCTV, access control, and security management systems
• Maintain accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation
• Provide professional customer service and stakeholder engagement
• Support site compliance with security procedures and protocols
• Work confidently across multiple secure government environments
• Adapt to varying operational requirements and site procedures
Essential Requirements
• Current NSW Security Licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current Working with children's check
• Strong communication and report-writing skills
• Professional presentation and customer service skills
• Ability to work across multiple Wollongong locations
• Reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently
Desirable
• Experience in government, corporate, control room, or critical infrastructure environments
• Experience using electronic security systems and access control platforms
