Overall objective/Purpose of position
The Senior UX/UI Designer is responsible for building scalable design systems that support brand consistency, ensure usability and workflow efficiency. They also are responsible for the customer journey and front-end experience of the Miele digital platforms. ▪ Through collaboration with designers and delivery team members, the Senior UX/UI Designer manages the digital design system guidelines and lead the implementation efforts across multiple platforms. Through design thinking activities, conducting usability & A/B tests, and studying data, they continuously refine the user experience. This role has an end-to-end responsibility for frontend design, from ideating and prototyping to delivering and optimizing features.
Key responsibilities
▪ Manage and create digital design system and component libraries. Collaborate with designers to ensure consistency. Manage cross-team designer workflow. Ensure usability and accessibility of guidelines. ▪ Create customer-centric e-Commerce customer journeys and translate requirements into brand and product story. ▪ Design wireframes and UI assets that consider all use cases and represent the premium brand. ▪ Conduct Design Thinking workshops to best understand the customer’s decision-making process. ▪ Create A/B and Usability Tests to gain learnings, conduct competitor reviews and customer surveys, and monitor website data to gain insights for design decisions
Competencies/Skills for position ▪ Ideally university degree in Design, Technology, Marketing, or have similar experience within a related field ▪ 7+ years’ experience in UX/UI design ▪ Digital design portfolio with experience managing Design Systems ▪ Foundational experience working for a premium brand in consumer or FMCG industry ▪ Have a collaborative team spirit and always striving to learn new things ▪ Experienced in agile ways of working ▪ International mindset, and fluent business English ▪ Excellent prototyping and design skills and a deep understanding of new software/web technologies ▪ Have a customer-centric creative mindset and can review both qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions
