Job Responsibilities:
• Understand and master the musical style and performance nuances of the designated repertoire.
• Collaborate with the resident music director and operation team in daily rehearsals and performances to ensure the highest quality of production.
• Adapt flexibly to the show director’s requirements.
• Maintain and take care for instruments and props required for performances.
• Maintain professionalism during performances to ensure stage order and safety.
• Deliver consistent and high-quality performances across multiple shows.
• Maintain effective communication and collaboration with fellow performers, musicians, and technical crew.
Job Requirements:
• Applicants with documented performance experience in traditional Hua’er folk-song singing will be given priority. Experience in stage and theater performance is considered a significant advantage.
• Proficient in Cantonese or Mandarin.
• Possess the ability to read musical notation (including numbered notation) and demonstrate strong stage performance skills. A foundational understanding of Hua’er songs and related cultural traditions, along with the capacity for continued learning in this area, is required.
