Learn more: www.industryft.com The Role We are looking for an AP & Sales Tax Analyst to support the day-to-day accounts payable operations and multi-state U.S. sales tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients. This role combines Accounts Payable operations with U.S. Sales Tax compliance to help ensure our clients' financial operations run smoothly and remain compliant across multiple U.S. jurisdictions. You'll process invoices, coordinate payments, prepare and file sales tax returns, monitor filing deadlines and nexus thresholds, and support ongoing compliance efforts. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys process-driven work, has exceptional attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Receive, review, and record invoices using platforms such as Bill.com, Beanworks, QuickBooks, and Odoo. Track invoice approvals and follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely processing. Prepare AP aging reports to support payment scheduling and cash flow management. Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual U.S. sales and use tax returns. Coordinate and initiate electronic tax payments to meet state and local deadlines. Maintain databases tracking filing statuses, nexus thresholds, and jurisdiction-specific requirements. Monitor sales volumes and transaction counts to proactively identify economic nexus changes. Research and respond to tax notices, inquiries, and penalty assessments. Stay up to date on changes in tax regulations and support compliance efforts. What We're Looking For Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken). Background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields. 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, tax, or finance-related roles. Hands-on experience with U.S. Sales Tax processes, including preparing, reviewing, and/or filing sales tax returns across one or more jurisdictions. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and follow established processes. Proactive mindset and willingness to continuously learn. Bonus Points For Experience managing the end-to-end U.S. Sales Tax filing process across multiple states. Previous experience in a CPA firm, accounting outsourcing firm, or supporting U.S.-based clients. Experience working with multiple legal entities or client portfolios. Experience with Bill.com, Beanworks, QuickBooks, Odoo, Avalara, TaxJar, or similar platforms. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify or Amazon Seller Central.
