Description Our client, a growing managed IT services provider headquartered in New York, is seeking a Technical Account Manager to join their remote U.S. team. In this role, you will own existing client relationships, manage escalations, uncover expansion opportunities, and help clients align IT needs with their business goals. The ideal candidate has experience retaining and growing B2B client accounts within an MSP, IT services, technical account management, or related technology environment. This role requires someone who can speak credibly with clients about cybersecurity, identity, networking, cloud, MDM, backup/disaster recovery, and application support. You must also be able to ask the right discovery questions, identify solution areas, and partner with engineers to scope the right path forward. This is a great opportunity to gain support for relevant training and technical certifications while growing into senior account, team leadership, or sales leadership responsibilities as the company scales. Technical Account Manager – MSP / IT Services (3+ yrs exp. req.) Responsibilities • Manage relationships with an assigned portfolio of active client accounts • Serve as the main contact for client needs, concerns, and escalations • Lead Technology Business Reviews and discuss client IT roadmaps • Identify projects, upgrades, licensing needs, and growth opportunities • Ask discovery questions to understand pain points, business goals, technical gaps and budget • Present IT recommendations tied to client goals and budgets • Partner with engineers to scope solutions and next steps • Track account health, client activity, and opportunities in CRM • Monitor retention risks and address issues before they escalate • Keep clients informed on relevant security, device, infrastructure, and application needs Technical Account Manager – MSP / IT Services (3+ yrs exp. req.) Qualifications • 3+ years of technical account management or customer success experience required • Experience retaining and growing a long-term B2B client portfolio required • MSP, IT services, or related technology industry experience required • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, MDM, and cloud required • Technical communication and solution coordination required • Executive-level communication, relationship management, and negotiation skills required • Willingness to travel approximately 20% for client meetings required
