Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Key job responsibilities In this role, you will participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations. Our team vision is to automate mission planning and execution to efficiently operate the Leo fleet at scale, while maintaining space safety and maximizing service availability for Leo satellite Internet customers. - Develop embedded software in C, C++, Rust, or other languages in a real-time operating system environment - Develop AWS cloud services that manage the Leo satellites - Write system applications for satellite command, file transfer and telemetry - Work closely with Leo ground service teams and satellite agent teams to support satellite operations Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. About the team The team owns end to end Leo satellite onboard agents and ground services that interact with them to provide seamless Leo satellite command, file transfer, telemetry and logging.
