Education: Bachelor's degree. Engineering science. Construction engineering. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects. Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets and bids forms. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems. Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates. Write technical reports. Review quotations. Co-ordinate project. Prepare price quotations. Type of experience: Civil. Project size estimating experience: $1,500,001 - $4,000,000. $8,000,001 +.
