About this role
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Chronic or long-term care facilities/centres. Tasks: Administer evaluative tests. Assess patients' physical abilities. Assist health care professionals. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Administer evaluative tests and procedures. Clean and maintain equipment. Hire and train staff. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Schedule and confirm appointments. Area of specialization: Physiotherapy. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
