Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Tattoo studio. Tasks: Make custom designs for clients. Designing traditional tattoos. Apply temporary designs to customer's skin, using electric needles and chemical dyes such as Mendhi (henna). Repair and mask aesthetic defects. Maintain and build own clientele. Provide product demonstrations. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Bloodborne pathogens training. Area of work experience: Tattoo artist. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Reference required. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination.
