Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Tasks: Add or replace hydraulic and transmission fluids. Assist mechanics and perform other duties as directed. Change engine oil and lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks or heavy equipment. Install replacement mufflers, exhaust pipes, shock absorbers or radiators. Repair and balance tires. Replace oil, air and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks and heavy equipment. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Hand-eye co-ordination. Manual dexterity. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Judgement. Reliability. Team player. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for youths: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
