High school/secondary diploma programs, other. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Shop fabrication. On-site fabrication. Tasks: Prepare engineering designs and drawings. Read blueprints to determine work requirements . Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates. Estimate costs and materials. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Welding experience. Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AutoCAD Certification. Steel detailing Certification. Drafting Trade Certification. Type of drafting: Shop drawings. Detailing drafting.
