Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Public school. Rural area. Tasks: Attend educational conferences and workshops. Discuss results and students' progress with them, their parents and school officials. Evaluate and document students' progress . Participate in staff meetings. Assign and correct homework. Develop course content. Lead students in activities to promote their physical, mental and social development and their school readiness. Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help. Prepare subject material for presentation according to an approved curriculum. Prepare, administer and correct tests.
