Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Dusty. Hot. Noisy. Work setting: Industrial. Manufacture. Tasks: Interpret welding process specifications. Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. Determine weldability of materials. Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products. Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line. Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Sitting. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Safety glasses/goggles. Welding helmet.
