About this role
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged. Tasks: Supply and empty bed pans. Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse. Serve meal trays and feed patients. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Answer call signals to determine patients' needs. Administer first aid in emergency situations. Provide personal care. Provide companionship. Administer bedside and personal care. Feed or assist in feeding. Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Security and safety: Immunization records. Vulnerable sector check. Tuberculosis test.
