About this role

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Address customers' complaints or concerns. Professionalism in customer service. Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Establish delivery schedules. Follow emergency and safety procedures. Keep record of work performed and location and condition of equipment. Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Documentation knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Type of trucking and equipment: Dump truck. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Physically demanding. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Personal suitability: Flexibility. Organized. Team player. Hardworking. Screening questions: Are you authorized to work in Canada?. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
