About this role
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Design dental devices. Fabricate and repair crowns, bridges or implants. Prepare plaster models and moulds. Supervise technical staff. Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases. Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory. Finish metal framework of dentures. Supervise students in training. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys. Polish and buff dentures. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Technical expertise (dental): Plastering. Packing. Polishing. Assembly. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
