Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Heavy equipment. Work setting: Various locations. Construction. Tasks: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work. Service attachments and working tools. Perform other routine maintenance. Repair and maintain equipment. Refer to schematic drawings or product manuals to repair parts. Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints. Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met. Diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults. Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports. Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment. Help with the installation, the assembly, and repairs to equipment. Assemble tower cranes on site. Coordinate subcontractors activities . Cranes (assemble, erect, jump, dismantle): Conventional hydraulic crane. Tower crane. Area of specialization: Mechanical system. Powered equipment repair specialization: Hydraulic-operated working attachments. Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Willing to travel.
