Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Asset languages: English, Middle (1100-1500). Work setting: Barbershop or hairstyling salon/studio. Tasks: Advise clients on beauty care treatments. Analyze hair and scalp condition. Book appointments. Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences. Provide custom hair and scalp treatment. Shampoo customers' hair. Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages. Supervise other hair stylists and other staff. Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences. Maintain and order supplies. Train or arrange for training. Conduct training sessions. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Hairstylist Trade Certification. Hair colouring techniques: Dyes/tints. Frosting. Streaking/highlights. Personal suitability: Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Judgement.
