About this role
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Chronic or long-term care facilities/centres. Tasks: Administer evaluative tests. Assist health care professionals. Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities. Develop information materials for patients. Follow through on treatment programs with patients. Help physical therapists. Maintain prescription records . Set up and dismantle equipment. Administer evaluative tests and procedures. Clean and maintain equipment. Hire and train staff. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Document patient rehabilitation progress.
