Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Explain procedures. Operate X-ray, radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. Operate computerized tomography (CT) scanners. Operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners. Operate mammography units. Position patients. Assist radiation oncologists and clinical physicists with preparation of radiation treatment plan. Record and process results of procedures. Perform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipment. Record and process patient data. Provide appropriate care and monitoring of the patient during the examination. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Certification of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists. Certification by a provincial or territorial association.
