About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites. Estimate costs and materials. Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures. Ensure adherence to safety regulations. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Tight deadlines.
