Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Prepare plaster models and moulds. Cast gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases. Maintain and order supplies. Mould wax over dentures set-up. Finish metal framework of dentures. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures. Make orthodontic bands from metal and alloys. Polish and buff dentures. Technical expertise (dental): Plastering. Waxing-up. Casting. Polishing. Area of specialization: Crowns and bridges. Ceramic or porcelain application. Gold dies and goldwork. Chrome castings. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Judgement. Team player. Accurate. Screening questions: Are you authorized to work in Canada?. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Financial benefits: Bonus.
