Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Insurance company. Tasks: Calculate premiums. Establish client insurance coverage. Provide customer service. Provide information concerning group and individual insurance packages, the range of risk coverage, benefits paid and other policy features. Make recommendations concerning cash management, insurance coverage, investment planning, retirement and estate planning. Identify clients' financial goals and objectives. Analyze clients' financial records. Develop financial plans for clients. Administer estate, personal, charitable, corporate and other types of trusts, direct trust account investments, receive and record investment income and disburse trust funds. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) licence. Area of specialization: Financial planning.
