About this role
Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Work setting: Private practice. Tasks: Clean teeth. Diagnose dental diseases . Examine patients' teeth, gums and surrounding tissue. Instruct patients on oral hygiene . Plan dental health treatment. Restore, extract and replace diseased and decayed teeth. Perform oral surgery, periodontal surgery and other treatments. Supervise staff. Design bridgework, fit dentures and provide appliances. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
