Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Metal product fabrication industry. Tasks: Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications. Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products. Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together. Select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist. Read blueprint, schemas and drawings. Perform general labouring duties. Ensure adherence to safety regulations. Equipment and machinery experience: Overhead crane. Hand tools. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
