About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components. Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made. Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics. Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products. Estimate costs and materials. Utilize hand and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints/sketches/specifications. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
