Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Confined spaces. In/on water. Noisy. Non-smoking. Work setting: Remote location. Room and board provided. Tasks: Clean, chip and paint deck surfaces. Handle mooring lines, and splice and repair ropes, wire cables and cordage. Operate, maintain and repair deck equipment. Stand watch and steer ship or self-propelled vessel under the direction of an officer. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Transport Canada Bridge Watchman Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Lifeboats. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Hand-eye co-ordination. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Team player.
