Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Requisition food and kitchen supplies. Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures. Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation . Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards. Prepare food order summaries for chef. Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres. Supervision: 5-10 people. Employment terms options: Evening. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Employment terms options: Day. Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
